The modern wedding ritual

A ritual is a symbolic moment during your free wedding ceremony. During our ritual, you mark your own words with hammers and stamping pins into four metal plates, a promise, your date, or a word that only the two of you understand. Then you hang the plates together on your personalized wall while your guests watch live. What is created is then given a permanent place in your home. For the design, you receive our rental kit. The wall and tags are yours to keep; only the rental kit goes back to us after the wedding.

Four tags for your words

You can share the four tags however you like: two for the two of you and two for your witnesses, who stamp their wishes for you. Or you stamp all four together. Not sure yet what to stamp? Under “Care & Tips” you will find questions your celebrant can ask during the ritual.

Date reservation

Once you complete your order, the date of your ceremony is automatically reserved for you. You enter the date in the basket. The rental kit is then confirmed for your day.

Wall

Available in white MDF (RAL 9016), anthracite MDF (RAL 7016) or solid oak, 20 × 20 cm, with space for four tags. The wall comes fitted with matching nails in the colour of your tags.

Tags

Aluminium (silver), copper (rose gold) or brass (gold), approx. 4 × 4 cm. Specially treated so they keep their matte sheen and do not tarnish. In addition to the four tags for your wall, we include four more free of charge as a reserve for your ritual. So you receive eight tags in total.

Personalisation (optional)

You choose your text directly in the configurator, for example your names or your date. It sits on one line on the wall, and you see it straight away in the live preview. The preview is a guide: the size and position of the lettering on the finished product may vary slightly depending on the length of your personalisation. If you upload your own font as a TTF file, we assume you are allowed to use it for private purposes.

Returning the rental kit

For returns within Germany, we email you a free DHL return label. Please drop the rental kit off at DHL no later than the third working day after your ceremony, so it can travel on to the next celebration in time. If you need it longer, just send us an email.

Care instructions

Light marks on the wall can be removed with a damp cloth. Dust the tags gently. If something breaks or goes missing, just let us know via our form Report damage.

Tips for your Wedding Ritual

  1. Place the wall and the rental kit on a small table right next to you.
  2. The stamping block sits felt side down, with the steel surface facing up.
  3. Try out your words on one of the reserve tags first. Short words look best.
  4. Agree on the ritual with your celebrant. Before each tag, they can ask a question that you answer with one word.
  5. After the ceremony, pack everything into the case and drop the rental kit off at DHL no later than the third working day. You will receive the return label by email directly from DHL.

What does the person leading our ceremony need to know?

Agree on the ritual briefly beforehand. A lovely idea: before each tag, they ask you a question that you answer with one word and stamp straight away.

Who stamps the tags?

Entirely up to you: two for the two of you and two for your witnesses, or you stamp all four together.

What should we write on the tags?

Whatever means something to you both: a promise, your date or a word only the two of you understand. Short words look best. You will find more ideas in the “Care & Tips” tab.

How long does the ritual take?

That is up to you. A word is stamped in seconds. With small motifs or longer words, take a few minutes. Both work beautifully; simply agree on the sequence with the person leading your ceremony.

Is the hammering loud during the ceremony?

You hear a short hammer strike, and that is exactly the point. In that moment, the two of you are at the centre of your ceremony, and all your guests watch eagerly as your words take shape.

Does the ritual work for an outdoor ceremony?

Yes, in dry weather. The rental kit and tags just must not get wet.

What if we make a mistake while stamping?

No problem. We add four extra tags to your four as a reserve. Ideally, try out your words on one of them first.

Can we stamp more than four tags?

The wall holds four tags. If your family or friends would like to join in too, simply add extra tags or keyrings to your order.

Can we combine the Wedding Ritual with the Guest Wall?

Yes, absolutely. Simply add both to your basket. The two of you stamp your Wedding Ritual during the ceremony, and your guests stamp the Guest Wall later at the celebration.

How do we hang the wall afterwards?

Hangers are fitted on the back, so you can hang the wall just like a picture.
